The Waldorf Panels On Sculpture (1965)

In the spring of 1965, dozens of New York artists such as George Segal, Herbert Ferber, Reuben Kadish and James Rosati met for a two part discussion on expanding definition of sculpture and design. These discussions were known as the Waldorf Panels on Sculpture and originally published by Phillip Pavia in IT IS magazine. For the first time since 1965, the transcripts of these key discussions have been reprinted and convey a strong sense of genre and art world in transition.
