The second volume of Keys to reading the Collection addresses the Spanish and international artistic practices in a temporal arch of three decades (from the 60s to the 80s). The Museum faces the challenge of collection and generating narrations from practices that overflow or directly challenge traditional artistic media. The radicalism of the avant-garde art dialogues with the popular and the underground during a period that contests the frontiers between high and low culture. Meanwhile, feminism and the processes of decolonization open the field to new agents and new geographies of art.
