It seems almost superfluous to make this a "One to watch"; such is Heaney´s international standing. But it bears repeating that this is Heaney´s first collection of new poetry for some time, and thus is bound to gain huge attention. His subjects range widely through time and space, from the sites of the classical world, to the poet´s childhood, and includes poems in memory of Ted Hughes and Joseph Brodsky. Wonderful
