In the works of his youth, the artist recorded the habitual presence of this animal in the urban environment that made up his own surroundings. Later on, the horse became a long-lasting iconographic symbol in Picassos personal language, forming part of his imaginary world and being used on the canvas as a powerful expressive vehicle. Picasso depicted the horse in different ways and with different techniques (oils, pastels, drawings, prints, ceramics, collages, textiles ...), all of which are brought together within the pages of this book.
"Picasso Caballos" has been published in order to mark the staging of an exhibition of the same name that will be taking place at the Picasso Museum in Malaga as of May 2010.
