Takako Hamano. Mirrored Memories

Delightful, intriguing and delicate publication exploring the output of the little known Japanese artist, Takako Hamano. Takako’s pencil drawings are reminiscent of a form of animation that embraces a characteristic Japanese sensibility while also being influenced by the artist’s period of residence in the Netherlands. Inside this large format edition are her collection of ‘Japoneries’ – poetic moments and meaningful observations captured in both black and white and colour drawings – that are printed on fine semi-translucent paper and interspersed with old photographs, short poems and observations.
