Bali and beyond. Explorations in the anthropology of tourism

This book has two main themes. The first is: The creatoin and "staging" of Bali as a tourims paradise. The second is the crucial importance of tourism in understanding the nature of culture itself, with examples which go beyond Bali, to thew Indonesian island of Sulawesi, to Papua-New-Guinea, and to Japan.
